  1. Hey Erica Jean,
    90 days has commenced, currently at the end of Day 6. My 90 days also included banning TV for the duration of this challenge. Do I hear a gasp of horror! My difficult time re overeating is in the evening, TV equals nibbling or grazing or just plain gorging depending on my mood. Solution: stop watching the box, an experiment to see how much more productive I am.
    How am I doing: all is great here, I am so loving not watching TV and the food is easy as I know my portion size, no measuring or counting points or calories is bliss. Also my blood sugar is stable, which makes it much easier to make healthy choices and not overeat.

    You have nailed one of the key triggers for overeating at night … watching TV. For some reason our minds wander to the pantry or the fridge when we’re watching TV. Maybe because so much of it is mind-numbingly boring that we’re trying to excite at least one of our senses!

    It is so important to keep busy and be distracted. So giving up TV at night is fabulous! I find that to be one of my most productive times … many a post has been composed between the witching hours of 7:30pm – 11:30pm.

    So thrilled that you’re finding the portion sizes easy to work with … the easier and simpler the better I say. Who needs to make it complicated? We have enough complication in our daily life without adding food to the equation.

    And congrats on your blood sugar levels being stable after such a short time … WOW! You’re going to look hot on that surfboard in 90 days time!

  4. I agree with most of the commentators here… I’ve been overweight almost my entire life. I was made fun of as a little girl. I struggled all through school. I became bulimic in high school and college (for about a decade) – and yes it is a disease. I’ve also tried every diet.     2. I’m bulimic too and this 30 year old guy I was trying to date noticed my bad breath and told everyone I worked with :/. Embarrassing! But even though it keeps some of the weight off, I still have fat, chubby cheeks, a double chin, and a pot belly.
