As I sit here and reflect over the past 90 days I am surprised by how NORMAL I feel.

 

motivation picture to lose weightFor some reason at the end of 90 days I thought there would be champagne corks popping, streamers flying across the room and cheers of “Hip Hip Hooray!” … Coming from ME!

But I woke up, and simply said, “Wow! I DID IT … Now what?

And this is what I want to cover with you on the last day of my 90 day challenge.

You see, this is NOT the last day of my challenge. This is the FIRST DAY of the REST OF MY LIFE living as a normal person, without weight issues, or food issues, or issues about exercising.

This is the day where I embark on a new journey of being NORMAL around these subjects.

Wouldn’t You LOVE That For Yourself?

To be FREE of the inner battle that goes on between you, yourself and you?

Wouldn’t you LOVE to have a normal relationship with food, look great in the mirror and be that fun energetic woman you see running on the beach?

I know that’s what I wanted. I desperately wanted to be normal and NEVER DIET AGAIN!

You know what’s really interesting? (And this is how I know I’ve turned a corner). Today is Easter Sunday and we’re off to the farm to spend time with my Mum and Dad.

Easter Sunday

Today is the day we eat mouth-watering, aromatic Hot Cross Buns dripping with melted butter and soft fluffly marshmallow eggs.

I see them sitting over on the side board. And you know what’s truly amazing??? I don’t even feel like eating any.

There’s no pull. There’s no desire. There’s no CRAVING!

Tonight I can drink red wine and celebrate my success. Do I feel like drinking? No. We have the wine and bubbles all ready to go … no, we didn’t drink any Moët this morning motivation picture to lose weight … but again, there’s NO CRAVING for it.

I am stunned at how FREE I feel right now.

I have been plagued with eating disorders and food addictions my entire life.

 

If you’re new to my blog you just need to check out my first post to get an idea of my struggle.

So for me to get to this place right now, is an accomplishment of EPIC proportions.

And I KNOW I am not alone here. I  KNOW that there are others out there struggling as I write.

I Know What’s Possible For You Now

I just want you to know, that it’s possible to get to the other side. All it takes is 90 days to change the behaviors of a lifetime. I know because I am now LIVING PROOF it can be done.

I WANT to help YOU. I want to share with you all I’ve learned.

All of my posts share with you my journey … they tell you the “WHAT” … but they don’t convey the “HOW.”

You know I’ve been working on something this past week. It’s nearly ready to go live.

I want you to TRUST ME on this.

I have a few medical conditions that prevent me from exercising as much as I would like and I take medication that makes me put on weight.

I have put on a little bit of weight lately and just wanting to get rid of it but have tried cutting down on fatty foods etc and exercising more but nothing is helping!!

Wanting some tips on weight loss – Stuff that actually works!! I’m Ready!

Hi everyone, I’m glad I came across this site. At the beginning of the February I started a work-out routine and started eating much healthier. I don’t eat anything like I used to, I barely drink soda now, and last year I wasn’t working out at all, now I go to the gym almost 3 times a week and work my @ss off. And if I don’t go to the gym, I have a routine I do at home. What is the problem? I weigh 140 and my BMI is 26.4 I am 14 and I am 5, 1′. I would be happy if I just lost 5 pounds! At least its a start! My long term weight loss goal is 115. What am I doing wrong? Any tips? I am READY to change the way I live, and I’ll try anything!

Hi Olivia,
It sounds like you’re on the right track.
I would need to see what you eat on an average day to know how to tweak your diet to get the results you are looking for.
You know I’m going to recommend cutting out ALL soda don’t you? There’s just way too much sugar in it and the Diet Soda’s are bad for you in other ways. So cutting out ALL soda would help for a start.

But keep up the exercise – that’s AWESOME what you’re doing already. Make sure you enjoy doing it so you can keep at it!

I used to battle with eating disorders too… it’s no fun. But it seemed like the only thing that worked… even though I got chronic bad breath and it didn’t work THAT much and I was hungry and cranky all the time. I hope you had a good Easter and thanks for motivating everyone! 🙂 – Jala

I know right! Her stomach is so little yet she still kept her curves… and that’s exactly what i want to achieve! I’m a plus size model but with age, you kind of have to start losing weight since your face starts to get older looking. So I am pretty game on losing a bunch of weight and getting a body like that!

I have a friend, her name is Jacky, and she is having terible dificulty losing weight. Jacky has a thick body, huge thighs, hugh rear end like a truck, a large upperbody and broad sholders and thick arms and she finds it hard to exercise. She also eats Reeses pieces (the cups I think) and she spends lots of time on the computer instead of an exercise bike.

How can I motivate Jacky to exercise and to take care of herself and to lose a good 90 to 110 pounds without coming across as being to blunt and demanding to her?

Also, should her computer be taken away so she has more time to exercise and less time to spend hanging around message forums and Hollywood gossip cites?

I am going to refer her to this site so she can see your amazing transformation :). – Gina

Hi Gina,
You wanting to support your friend in losing weight is admirable. But the problem is, if Jacky doesn’t want to, she won’t.
She has to get to a place where the pain of being overweight is UNBEARABLE and she just can’t take it any more.
Then and only then will she be able to ‘hear’ you motivating her to lose weight.
She has to want this … all you can do is love her the way she is and when she’s ready to put in the hard yards be there for her.
The book I am about to release might help her …

Hey Gina and Erica (and everyone else reading). I was just reading all the comments and I wanted to say that is so true! Like my friends all love drinking soda, eating white bread, eating heavy desserts, eating pizza and chips… and not wanting to excersize. If they aren’t going to give certain things up, there’s nothing you can do. Me on the other hand… I’m READY!!! :).

Until one year ago, I had no weight problems, and then my father died. Before I knew it, I was 60 pounds heavier. Clothes, friends, my self-esteem, nothing is the same anymore. My family is the only support Ive got and they made me start a weight loss program. I`d like to know more about which is the healthiest diet and where can I find a good fitness planner. I started to jog in the morning at an easy pace for 30 minutes and I`d like to know how many calories I`m burning. So… I’m ready to join you on your journey Erica! Thanks…

Hi Terri,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Major life changes can easily see the weight sneak on … however the good news is that with the right mindset you can easily take it off again. And it sounds like you’re in the ‘space’ now.
The healthiest diet is the one that is free from processed foods, full of natural foods with a good balance of protein, vegetables, fruits, legumes and grains etc. I have a saying that I live by, “If God didn’t make it, don’t eat it!” That’s a good guideline to live by.
For some, jogging is the BEST way to lose weight. So keep it up. Don’t worry about how many calories you’re burning … just enjoy the process. Every day it’ll get easier and easier, and you’ll notice yourself running further and faster.
With a healthy eating plan, an exercise you enjoy and the right mindset you’ll knock off those 60lbs without even realizing it.

I couldn’t agree more with that statement, “If God didn’t make it, don’t eat it!” I started to eat more like that… but sometimes you get depressed and give up and just eat processed foods. It’s good to have a support system. I think if all of your followers here stick together we can all make a difference and lose some weight! 🙂

I think it just came down to the fact that I love and respect my body too much now.
Also, by eating this way I simply don’t have any sugar cravings. Or ANY cravings for that matter. All the temptation is gone … weird I know … but true : )

So, after many years of knowing… I’ve got to start taking care of myself, I looked in the mirror the other day and realized how much weight I have gained since high school and it made me really sad to see that i had let myself go so badly, in fact I was so overwhelmed with saddness and frustration I just sat down cried. I’m 20 years old, when I graduated I weight 125lbs now i weigh 172lbs and I see it and I feel it and it frustrates me because I’m tired all the time, it doesn’t help that I work in fast food, but I went out i bought lots of fruits and vegetables and I started going to the gym at my college and even though it hasn’t been long and I’m not seeing results I feel a little more energized after the first week, and I hope I can keep it up and stay away from that free soda and half priced meals at work, I’m Ready to start smartening up and start taking care of myself, wish me luck 🙂
